• 3.3 Twin Turbo Oil and Coolant Lines

  The twin turbo V6 is hard on oil and its turbo feed and coolant lines are the items to watch. Heat soak after hard driving degrades oil quickly, which is why we shorten the interval on these engines rather than following the book figure.

  The eight speed automatic is described as long life, which in practice means nobody changes it. Fluid service noticeably improves shift quality on higher mileage cars and is a fraction of the cost of a valve body or a rebuild.

• Air Suspension on G90 and Equipped Models

  Where fitted, struts and the compressor fail individually rather than as a system. We pressure test each corner and replace what has actually failed, which is usually a much smaller job than the first estimate.

• Electronic Parking Brake

  Actuator failure locks the brake on and needs manufacturer level access to release, replace and recalibrate. A generic scan tool will not complete the procedure.

• Brake Corrosion on Electrified Models

  Regenerative braking means the friction brakes do less work, so pads last but rotors and calipers corrode from underuse. We inspect condition rather than only measuring pad thickness.

• HVAC Actuators and Blend Doors

  Actuator failure produces uneven cabin temperature or a clicking behind the dash. Common, and labor intensive on several models because of the dash access required.
